I purchased this for my 8 year old to use for art class during virtual school. I ended up using the paints my self and was very pleased with the quality. Good colors to choose from and 3 brush sizes. Wish there was a brush that was a little larger, however, I was only expecting 1 brush to come with this set. Overall happy with this set.

This set of paints is much better than my first purchase. The colors are dark and easy to apply for my my 3 year old granddaughter, so she doesn’t get frustrated anymore due the paint not showing up well with each stroke. She’s happy, I’m happy.

  3. NFB

Much better pigment than your standard kid art brands, more colors, more paint – my expectations were exceeded with these paints. The brushes are fine – nothing special, but again much much better than the thick plastic bristles that come standard with kid watercolors.

I wanted to dip my toes in trying my hand at watercolor. Just finished my first painting. The colors are beautiful. This set is perfect for a beginner learning to paint.

I’m a tattoo artist in training and part of what I do now is practice painting as well as drawing. This is a great set to test the water so to speak. It’s good enough to find out if you enjoy watercolor painting and to make some art. Appropriate for kids or adults. Fun stuff

IMy background in art is this… Art School and have worked professionally as an artist, whith over 30 yeats experience.. I already have a very expensive professional Japanese watercolor pallette as well, which I love, but I bought this one for a different array of colors. I am baffled by the few negative reviews I have read, that these are meant more for toddlers (not even true, but cake watercolors are way different than tube watercolors and can be frustrating for people used to tubes). Or that they don’t know what color they are painting with? I say “use your eyes” my expensive set has every color named. I have never once looked at the names of the colors. So I am not bothered by lack of color names. (Honestly I think color names confuse your brain into thinking you should use one color but another would be better). I found the colors to be vibrant, good quality, and easy to work with as well as blend. If I didn’t know what I paid for this set, I would have thought it was just as good quality. Stargazer Lily painted today with new set.

I think they work. They are still wrapped and look beautiful since they haven’t been used. My son has decided that even though these would be great supplies for his art class, he chooses to leave them on the shelf in his room. They are covered in a light dust now. I recommend these, especially if your child actually uses them.

This set is perfect for my daughter to carry to school and use in her 7th grade art class. It fits in her bookbag well without taking up a lot of space too which is great – especially now since they can’t use their lockers due to covid!

  9. Echotalk

Very happy with these water color paints. The pigments are rich and load up and dilute easily, making it very easy to get the color you want. Quite a bargain for a beginner paint.

I can’t remember the last time I used a black watercolor paint that actually looked black. I bought this for my 4-year-old but am very impressed with the quality. We were using Crayola’s washable watercolors but they pale in comparison to the pigment of these. Since my little one is not messy like the three older siblings, I can’t tell you whether or not this washes out well.
